Who I Am

Hi there, I'm Felix—an avid explorer navigating the realms of Medicine and Finance. Before diving into this academic adventure, I underwent rigorous training in emergency medical services and actively contributed to emergency rescue operations.. Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado, I'm on the verge of completing my business studies—a journey that reflects my deep commitment to the convergence of Medicine, Finance, and Computer Science.

Rooted in the heart of Germany, where the chapters of my life unfolded, I set out on the path to becoming a physician, unraveling the intricacies of the German healthcare system. Yet, the rhythm of business has been a steadfast companion. As a former CEO & Co-Founder of Novaheal, an innovative healthcare education technology startup, I, alongside visionary co-founders, orchestrated the creation of a groundbreaking learning platform for nurses—a revolutionary step towards digitizing education for non-physician professionals within the German healthcare landscape.

Venturing beyond the confines of healthcare, my journey led me to the bastions of Deutsche Telekom AG, where I immersed myself in the artistry of financial controlling. Additionally, my tenure in the CEO's office of a distinguished machinery company saw me shaping strategies for the company's triumphant entry into the dynamic US market.

Dancing amidst the complexities of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, I discovered a profound passion for the M&A sector—an arena where I envision crafting my professional legacy. During my gap year between my bachelor's and master's degrees, I will explore various banks and M&A boutiques through internships, aiming to integrate my knowledge from Medicine and Computer Science with finance-related topics.

In the picturesque landscapes of Colorado, I am on the verge of completing my Business Administration studies. Simultaneously, I am engaged in a collaborative effort with one of my finance professors, contributing to the development of a sophisticated machine-learning model tailored for various currencies. Our collective mission is to empower multinational enterprises in effectively managing and mitigating their Exchange Rate Exposure.

Looking beyond the horizon, post my immersive odyssey in Investment Banking, my aspirations ascend to the pursuit of a Master's in Financial Mathematics within the hallowed halls of the United States—a chapter yet to be written, a symphony of diverse disciplines harmonizing to shape the narrative of my professional journey.

In my free time, I love hiking or hitting the slopes. Additionally, I always strive to enhance my photography skills. For an extended period, I have also competed in various teams, engaging in competitive video gaming. Additionally, I am currently learning the programming languages SQL and Python. I also have a keen interest in reading books about the American Civil War, personal development, and the history of medicine, with a specific focus on surgery. Furthermore, I have a profound passion for literature and poetry from around the world.

What could be more fitting at this point than concluding the "about me" section of my website with a poem that holds a special place in my heart?

IF

BY RUDYARD KIPLING

If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
